The Last Tide

'The Last Tide' follows a solitary keeper who returns to the ruins of his drowned village carrying a sealed chest. Inside is the final light of the people he lost. Before dawn, he must carry it through the flooded sanctuary and awaken the abandoned lighthouse. As its beam reaches beneath the sea, the village appears one last time, allowing its memories and souls to finally find peace. It is a story about grief, remembrance and learning to let go. "The sea does not forget. It only waits for the light to return." Created for the CapCut Seedance 2.5 Video Challenge: Wave 2. The challenge began with a 15-second opening. I took that moment and expanded it into a three-minute gothic story about grief, memory and the final light of a drowned village.
