I'M BORED follows an alien living an ordinary life on Earth. He works, eats, exercises, watches films, argues with his family, raises children, and quietly drifts through the routines of another day. Beneath the science-fiction surface lies a deeply human story about boredom, loneliness, emotional numbness, and the quiet crisis of middle age. Without dialogue, the film is told almost entirely through long, contemplative shots and a unique fictional alien language created exclusively for the film. As the alien searches for meaning in a life that has become painfully familiar, the line between extraterrestrial and human slowly disappears. I'M BORED is not a film about an alien living among humans. It is a film about being human—seen through alien eyes.
