Sand stops on a hard line and an oasis begins — millions of palms, so dense the camera can't find an edge from directly overhead. Inside a mountain nearby, natural corridors where the air is twenty degrees cooler than the desert outside. Then the covered souq. A hundred men in crisp white, every headcloth folded the same precise way, every cord sitting exactly level. And in the middle of them, three visitors who have spent twenty-three episodes photographing this country and never once looked at themselves. An elderly man stops, takes the cloth out of Omar's hands without asking, makes one clean fold, and says two words. Japanese audio. Subtitles in Arabic, English, Spanish and Turkish.
