Ashes of the Hollow Crown

Beneath the drowned ruins of Avarin, Rovan Veyr and Elira Sorn race to seal an ancient lock before its fracture releases a nameless power. Rovan’s mineral scar begins answering the iron, while Elira discovers that the lock will close only when its keeper refuses every borrowed command. Hunted through flooded catacombs by the collar-keyed Sutureborn, they survive by trusting the evidence, the water, and each other. At the final breach, Elira guides Rovan’s hand to the mechanism. Together they break the creature’s retreat, shut the lock, and emerge alive, bound by a quiet love forged together in darkness at last.
