Blood and Ember

On a battlefield consumed by fire and smoke, the mage leads human soldiers against a demonic horde. The demoness commander emerges, her flames tearing through the ranks, until the mage confronts her in a desperate duel. Just as victory seems possible, the commander summons her strongest warrior—revealed to be the mage’s brother, corrupted into a monstrous soldier. Their clash is brutal, her heart torn between duty and love. Her voice and magic awaken fragments of his humanity. In his final act, he seizes the demoness, allowing her to unleash full power. Triumph follows, but sacrifice leaves her hollow.
