Under the White Dunes

At dusk, beyond a quiet nomad camp, a desert boy and his small sand dragon uncover a glowing gilded egg beneath the white dunes. The boy sees a miracle; the adults recognize a warning. As amber light spreads under the camp and silence falls over the tents, an elder reveals that the egg belongs to something ancient below them. When the dragon touches it, the desert opens without violence, revealing a vast city hidden beneath the sand. Faced with fear, wonder, and a path only the dragon can awaken, the boy chooses to take the first step down.
