Ep 5 - No Shelter Without Teeth

Ashmoon shelter is not comfort. Families argue that keeping Mara will bring Bloodfang retaliation onto children and food stores. Orik refuses Kael's private plea, enters controlled partial form to embody the danger Ashmoon accepts, then suppresses after Mara chooses judgment for herself. Nera tests Mara in partial form, crowding her scent and grief until heat reaches Mara's eyes and hands. Mara holds human shape, names the risk honestly, and stops Kael from answering for her. Ashmoon grants conditional shelter, not acceptance. Attraction grows because protection respects agency, while each transformed warning proves refuge has teeth and public cost for them.
