EP 7 - Price In The Stone City
In the Stone Trade City, a trader refuses service to a family linked with Mara, proving Bloodfang punishment travels through rumor, price, and hunger. Toma feels human life tightening around her. Bren Halek offers resistance and sees Mara as weapon or corruption. She refuses to betray either side. When grateful villagers recoil from her, shame and anger break control for one second: her eyes change and nails darken before she hides her hand. Witnesses see enough. Mara suppresses the flicker, but rejection now has bodily proof. The city leaves her between ownership and fear, unable to return to invisible neutrality.
