Baruakng descends from Kayangan and plays gasikng with four children on Earth. Dara Amutn recognizes him as the son of Ne’ Ja’ek and reveals that all five children share the same father. After tasting food brought from Kayangan, Dara asks Baruakng to bring them paddy seed. His parents, Ne’ Ja’ek and Ne’ Pangingu, forbid the grain from being given to humans. Baruakng attempts to carry the seed in his hand, within the folds of his kapoa’, and inside his mouth, but each attempt is discovered. Determined to help the family he has just found, he finally carries seven grains that will become the beginning of rice cultivation on Earth.
