Pella and the Silent Bellflow

When Petalwake's Dawn Bellflower fails to ring, gentle apprentice Pella hears a hidden after-echo that nobody else can detect. Carrying a silver listening thimble and a repair kit, she follows the damaged root network through wet paths, dim nurseries, and a collapsing flower glade. Seed-mouse botanist Miriq joins her, while rigid inspector Brannic insists on a repair that repeats the original harm. Pella must trust her unusual hearing, challenge authority without losing compassion, and teach five living roots to answer in their own rhythms. Dawn returns, but a distant Rain-region signal reveals that the wider world is still calling Pella.
